John J. Pitlosh, CFP®, MST, CPWA®, CIMA®
John J. Pitlosh, CFP®, MST, CPWA®, CIMA®, has over a decade of experience in the financial services industry. John received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan where he was a triple major. He has been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNING (CFP®) practitioner since 2002 and Masters from John Marshall Law School (MS with Honors) that also earned him a certificate in Estate Planning.
Recently John earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst® certification, administered by Investment Management Consultants Association® and taught in conjunction with The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. CIMA® certified professionals integrate a complex body of investment knowledge to ethically assist high-net-worth and institutional clients meet their investment objectives.
John also holds the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® certification, administered by Investment Management Consultants Association® and taught in conjunction with The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. The CPWA® is an advanced credential specifically for wealth managers and advisors who work with high-net-worth clients on the life cycle of wealth: accumulation, preservation, and distribution.
Over the length of John’s career, he has gained a wealth of knowledge both as an advisor and as a designer of highly integrated financial plans tailored to the needs of a high net-worth clientele. Through his previous work experience at major financial firms and as a student completing his master’s in tax law, John has the experience and knowledge base to effectively research and identify critical issues facing high net-worth clients. An essential part of his role has been the coordination of the client’s key planning components with their other trusted advisors. He joined Investor Solutions in 2008.
John maintains his knowledge base through his membership to the Chicago Estate Planning Council, Financial Planning Association, and as a contributing author to Morningstar, Investopedia.com, Yahoo! Finance, and Investor Solutions’ own The Informed Investor newsletter.
